Benefits of Renting Your RV... ...is clear. You are able to rent your RV to families willing to pay good money to use your RV for weekend excursions, cross-country exploration, or even use to park in their driveway for incoming guests at their house. The point is, you have an RV sitting at your residence or storage facility, that could be making money. Lets take for example an average class-c motorhome that is around 30ft. in length. It is a couple years old, and your monthly payment is roughly $250 per month. A motorhome of this class, would rent on average around $85 per night plus any additional fees you may charge. (take a look at the table)
As you can see, not only did you make the payment for your RV, you also made an extra $140.01 for the month. These numbers above are just on average, and your profit could be much more or less depending on how often your RV rents, and all the additional services and fees you may charge. You can earn extra revenue on delivery fees, setup fees, linen fees, kitchen kit rental, and more. There are plenty of ways to earn more. Once you get comfortable with one, trying renting two, three, or four RV's each month and watch your wallet grow. The newer, the nicer, the bigger the RV; the more it will rent for. There are families willing to rent your RV from all spectrums of budgets. No RV is too big or small to rent. There is a renter for every style and price. Accidents are going to happen... ...that is why there is special renter's insurance for those who rent RV's. The insurance will cover you from most any damages that occur while your RV is being rented. Most policies offer full replacement cost. Most policies have a $500 deductible, but that is easily paid by the upfront deposit you get from your renter's. Obviously, if the renter brings the RV back damaged, they will forfeit their deposit. This deposit not only gets your RV repaired in case of an accident, but can be used towards an ins. deductible on larger repairs. Therefore, it's not costing you any extra to get the needed repairs done. Renting RV's is a year round activity. Holiday times are great times for business, because families have guests coming in and need a place to stay. What better than a RV in the driveway to accomodate those guests. Summer is your most busiest time of the year. Everyone travels everywhere, all the time. There is never a slow season for RV rentals. The best part about renting is that you can virtual pay for your RV thru renting, and get to use it for FREE. You control when its available, and when its not.
